Waiting on Wednesday with Go Set A Watchman

The book is set during the mid-1950s, some 20 years after the events of To Kill a Mockingbird. Scout (Jean Louise Finch) has returned to Maycomb from New York to visit her father Atticus and is forced to grapple with issues both personal and political as she tries to understand both her father's attitude toward society, and her own feelings about the place where she was born and spent her childhood.

  1. I still haven't read To Kill a Mockingbird. I really should get to it one of these days, somehow it's just always passed me by; we never read it in school (we looked at Of Mice and Men for American Lit instead) and I've had so many people telling me to read it that it's made me not want to read it. It'll be interesting to see what fans of it think of the sequel! :)

  9. I think there is a good lot of people waiting on this one. It will be nice to revisit with Atticus and Scout. I might need to re read To Kill a Mockingbird again just to refresh myself on the story and the characters before I read this one though.

  10. This is one of my most anticipated books of the year. I can't imagine how it will live up to so many high expectations though. Here's hoping!
