  1. I'm just beginning to read historical fictions. I'm currently reading Code Name Verity and so far it's more of an okay novel for me. and I've been meaning to read The Book Thief, The Time Traveler's Wife, Out of the Easy, and Prisoner of Night and Fog.

  3. Awesome topic choice, I always assumed that historical fiction wasn't for me but looking through this list there are a couple of books I've read and loved (Code Name Verity and To Kill a Mockingbird) and a couple that I want to read (Prisoner of Night Fog and The Book Thief), maybe I do like historical fiction?

I did Books that were recommended to me

  5. Yes to Code Name Verity, The Book Thief, and To Kill a Mockingbird! I need to check out some of these. Another one of my other favorite historical reads is The Crucible, though it's technically a play and not a book.

  8. Great choices - I've read and enjoyed a lot of these. Code Name Verity and Prisoner of Night and Fog are on my to-do list for sure. Since you enjoyed The Historian, have you tried The Swan Thieves by Kostova as well? I like that one as much if not more than The Historian.

  9. I bought Verity after everyone's praise on last week's TTT lists, but I can't get into it. Is something wrong with me?
