Liebster Award

Yesterday I was nominated by Angel at Spare Reads for the Libester Award. I have just started blogging and it is so fun to meet other bloggers and learn about books I have to read!

Angel stated on her blog that the "Liebster Award is an award given to bloggers by bloggers aiming to spotlight amazing new blogs with less than 200 followers. There are so many great blogs out there and Liebster Award post is a great way to get to know about them. I encourage you to follow all the blog links in this post and see what kind of wonders are happening over there."

Rules
  1. Link back to the blog that nominated you.
  2. Answer that questions they set for the blogs they nominated.
  3. Nominate 10 blogs of your own, and be sure to let them know with a link to your post.
  4. Ask 10 questions for the blogs you nominated in your post.

Angel's Questions
  1. What sparked you to have a book review blog?
I love talking about books, but I normally read a ton more than my friends, so this way I can share my love of books with the entire internet. I love book blogging because I have already found so many amazing blogs to follow and ideas for new books to read!
  2. What is the best moment of your blogging journey?
I really just started, so I am hoping that my best moment is yet to come. Getting nominated for this award is pretty cool though!
  3. What is your favorite series?
There are so many good ones, but right now I am loving the Lunar Chronicles, Legend, Divergent, Partials and Razorland series
  4. What is your favorite story setup?
I just started the Lunar Chronicles, so that is really in my head right now. I love fairy tales and adding a cool, dystopian sci-fi theme is awesome
  5. What is your favorite film adaption of a book?
The Harry Potter films were done so well. I also am really thrilled with how well the Hunger Games movies have turned out
  6. What is the most overrated book in your opinion? (prefer recent releases)
Fifty Shades of Grey, I read a bit of it (before I realized it was like mom-porn) and couldn't believe how awful the writing way. It is sad that her poor writing skills are making millions when amazing authors are struggling
  7. What is your weirdest addiction/hobby?
I guess my weirdest addiction is photography, I take odd photos sometimes, but it gives me a cool perspective
  8. Which book has the best antagonist/evil character?
I really enjoyed the "freaks" in Enclave, in the Razorland series. It was an interesting twist on zombies
  9. Are you a writer too? If so, what are you working on? If not, do you want to become one?
I am aspiring to be a writer. I just did National November Writing Month last November and wrote 50,000 in the month of November. I really want to publish a novel someday and am working on increasing my writing and imagination
  10. What is the first thing on your bucket list?
There are a ton of things on my bucket list, but I have been pretty focused on getting this blog off the ground and then working on writing. The more you write, the better at writing you become

My Nominations
  1. The Road to Writing
  2. The Book Maidens
  3. Effortlessly Reading
  4. That Artsy Reader Girl
  5. The Book Addict's Ramblings
  6. The Paper Sea
  7. Tabitha's Book Blog
  8. The Novel Hermit
  9. The Book Monsters
  10. A Book a Day

My Questions

1. Why did you start blogging?
2. How did you choose your blog name?
3. What is / was your favorite blog post?
4. What is your favorite book? (Hard question, so you can pick a genre)
5. How do you organize your blog posting schedule?
6. Outside of blogging and reading, what is your favorite hobby?
7. What book are you hoping will be turned into a movie?
8. What are your favorite traits for main characters?
9. What is your favorite way to promote your blog posts?
10. Do you aspire to be a writer? What type of writing would you like to do?

Please check out these blogs I nominated, they are gems! Happy Sunday!

  1. Nice answers! I agree with you on #10, the two main goals of me blogging are getting better at reading and getting better at writing. Even though I have only just started, I think I can already see a little bit of difference :) Carry on the good work Missie!

  3. We are very honored, we are!
Its just that we declared our blog as award free zone (which means we do not participate in the awarding - no giving and no getting awards).
Its not that we don't find it fun, we do, it just that we don't have enough time and we think we won't give - people that deserve - enough attention.
We appreciate the nomination, and we love your blog, but we suggest you give our place to someone who deserves it and will have time to make the effort.
    Thanks and Happy Reading
